Re: Change Hostname
Yes, you can change the hostname.
Please be kindly informed though, that changing the hostname will require resetting the license seed for the product key.
So after the change, you need to send us (copy and paste) the hostname and license seed to reset the product key.
You can find them via Webportal -> Packages and Licenses

Re: Change Hostname
Should we be seeing the new hostname after restarting the tbtoolpack?
I ran the command [root@freesbcdemo ~]# hostname SBC01 and see the following
[root@freesbcdemo ~]# tbtoolpack start
0:tbtoolpack_12358
Toolpack current state: Ready
Ok
[root@freesbcdemo ~]# hostname
freesbcdemo
Please advise on the next steps.

Re: Change Hostname
What host name do you see in the Packages&Licenses menu and the host menu?
It seems the new host name didn’t take effect, you might need to reboot the host.
I suggest to use this command:
hostnamectl set-hostname NEW_HOSTNAME
https://linuxhint.com/change-hostname-permanently-centos7/
then reboot the host:
shutdown -r now
